Well, something different. I wanted to try something different. This one took quite long - at least three times as much as it normally would.

Tell me what you think.

Edit:
Wow, my second DD. I'm honored. Thanks so much to everyone who faved or commented on my work, I really appreciate it. And thanks of course to ^taenaron for the feature. And now I'll continue to read myself through all those comments. :)

I think it's splendid, seldom is such painterly depth seen in digital space art. The use of scale, light and darkness is especially well done in building up this depth, with all the whisps of light and dark arranged in their varied perspectives. Likely one of the best pieces I'll have seen lately, since the depth is so remarkable, the scenery and distances engaging. A bit of jpeg compression in the darkness at bottom left, but that's hardly noticeable really, great picture! :)

The future belies your preconceptions...
Also you can pick up new details everytime you look at it, which is a sign of great picture. For instance, those little stars like that reddish one mid-left interacting with the nebulae. The star clusters/arrangement are truly majestic.

Space isn't remote at all. It's only an hour's drive away if your car could go straight upwards.

Whoa man! :jawdrop: I'll be honest and say that the thumbnail didn't look very promising at first, but now I can say that anyone who dosn't bother full-viewing should be kicked in the balls...but not seeing this is punishment enough lol.

As j4m3sb0nd stated several times, this one has a lot of depth to it, something not often seen in space art, probably because in real life, galaxies are so massive that the far-off images we see of them look a little flat, But you went beyond what we learned from NASA photo's and produced a pretty original galaxy scene...and purple always makes for cool space art, maybe not realistic, but sure has that dark, mysterois feel to it, and a little warmer than the usual blue space scenes too :D
