they also have some very good artists...
You next goal now is to join Space Project?
Its a good way to make my pictures more public.
Yes, in most cases we'll accept anyone
into the group if they are interested in
space art, and have alreay taken the
step to make something already. The
main idea behind ~inner-space is to
have a place where space artist can easily
find access to a range of piece of art without
searching the entire dA library. And what
this implicates is that artists can get new
ideas, and get feedback from other space
artists.
Most police officers wouldn't want to have
a butcher telling them how to do their job
better, but rather other police officers. Why?
Because other police officers have currant
experience in the field.
And anyway, I'm sure the likes of * j4m3sb0nd
and *alyn don't think that the pieces they
submitting or no more than 'scrap'. And I know
that what I'm submitting of my own isn't some-
thing I'd consider scrap, at least not for a good
while still.
But again, yes, most that apply get in. Artists
have to start somewhere, and they get much
more useful help to improve faster through
~inner-space
Please, feel free to continue this discussion, I'm
interested in your thoughts, and I'm not going to
do something stupid like kick you out or anything
for your opinion.
This way I see inner space I had when I sent while ago a note named "Can I join?" with no text. Other groups would at least ask why or anything like thiss to be sure his/her isn't going to joing to just mess up the group, but I had no reply and later I knew I was already a member. You should know it.... I don't remember who talked with me about this, so I will not discuss this fact anymore. Just wondering that inner space would have some more control of the members, making sure people will keep watching it.
Sorry if I called member works of "scraps" and inner scpace can really help people, but I keep doing my part and waiting when I make something that I really get proud to finaly submit into this group.
Afterall, I'm still doing my part in "devWATCHING" the group to meet some new artists and helping whenever I can!
it sometimes is hard to find someone that you can
talk with in a civilised conversation.
I also noticed a few times people comments something
simular to 'oh, I didn't even know I was accept! I'll get
submitting straight away'. Hopefully this won't be the
case any longer now that the admin job is shared. I
will also be welcoming each new member personally,
so that should help.
Now, about this matter that we accept people without
even getting details from them about the 'why' they
want to join. It's not as severe a problem as you make
it out to be ("going to joing to just mess up the group"),
but I agree, it is a problem. I will talk with ~the-happyman
about this, and making sure that we get details on each
member. Also helps in making each member more
'commited' into the group when we ask about them,
so it diffenately is a good thing.
Knowing from past experience though, I've learnt that
when you have created a new group/community, the
first thing you want to do is grab as many members
as possible, just to establish your group/community,
and to get word out there. And so you are very 'easy'
with accepting members. But after a while you tighten
things up. ~inner-space is established now I'd say
well enough, and it's about time to 'tighten up'
I'm looking forward to seeing that piece when you submit
it ;- )
Thanks for this discussion.
And sorry 0v3rMinD for high-jacking your journal for this
discussion :- )
